		<description>CREATIVE WORKSHOPS FOR TEACHERS...
B2B @ The SHAC are investigating how to engage children more creatively within the curriculum by involving teachers in our tailor- made workshops.
We will be looking to run an Inset day for Teachers, to Create a dialogue and exchange of idea’s into how creativity can help in the classroom. Through this investigation we would like to hear what the needs of the educators so that we can programme a series of workshops to support Teachers in imaginative thinking whilst delivering the curriculum.
We are keen to build a relationship with teachers, incorporating an expression of their idea’s and needs, to enable us to develop and deliver comprehensive workshops as a valuable tool for the educational system.
If you or your school would be interested in being part of this creative process please contact Rebecca or Belinda: b2btheshac@gmail.com

<description>B2B @ The SHAC is run by Rebecca Crookshank and Belinda Chapman; we have been running our companies separately over the past 4 years and have had extensive experience performing, devising and leading workshops.
Over the past year we have been collaborating on various projects. We love what we do and found that our work and backgrounds compliment each other so thought it would be great to create a strand of our company to produce more exciting opportunities and specialized workshops to inspire young people.
B2B @ The SHAC create innovative theatrical experiences that incorporate &#38; explore theatre, dance, puppetry, voice and music. We produce Theatre productions and educations programmes in the South West and beyond. Both The SHAC and Bound 2B Theatre are committed to working with members of the community by involving them in workshops and creative youth programmes.

•	improve standards in communication through the spoken word
•	foster an appreciation of literature, poetry and drama
•	acknowledge levels of achievement
•	support the creative, intellectual and social development of an individual as a whole.

Preparation for examinations can:
•	unlock imagination and creative thinking
•	develop communication skills
•	refine technical skills and artistry
•	promote teamwork.

The examinations themselves provide learners with an opportunity to:
•	measure progress against an international standard
•	make contact with expert practitioner assessors outside the immediate teaching environment
•	build self-confidence and self-esteem
•	receive critical appraisal and guidance for future development

The range of exam options supports progression and allows the learner to extend personal and vocational skills as well as realise their potential.

Preparation and examinations are categorised in three groups; Introductory- help develop communication and encourage confidence and provide an exciting introduction to reading and poetry.

Communication- particularly in Using Spoken English and Speaking in Public, help students prepare for interviews, make presentations and provide a platform for those careers where such skills are important.

Performance- examinations provide vocational pathways to work in acting, theatre, musical theatre and the teaching of performing arts, as well as the opportunity for personal development through a wide spectrum of interests.

Teachers, theatre practitioners and speech and drama professionals facilitate all exam and preparation sessions. They are trained to a high standard to ensure that each examination experience is positive and constructive for individual candidates.

The SHAC is very pleased to be working with LAMDA and offering this opportunity. Rebecca Crookshank will run ‘One2One’ preparation sessions.
